A Public Meeting will be held on 19 March 2024 at 18h30 at the Friend of God Church to discuss and consider the following:

Application for REZONING and SUBDIVISION in terms of the City of Cape Town Municipal Planning by-law (2015): remainder farm 317 and portion 4 of farm 317, Vredekloof, Brackenfell

INTRODUCTION

It is the intention of the landowners to establish a gated residential development in Vredekloof on a portion of the remainder of 317 and portion 4 of 317, Cape Farms (Brackenfell).

An application (Case Id: 70513528) was previously (November 2021) submitted to the city for a similar development and based on the internal comments received from the previous application process, the developer (Vredekloof Property Holdings) along with the professional team, and in consultation with the various City branches reworked the proposal to a workable and viable development scheme. [It is maybe worth mentioning that this is the 3rd application since 2010]

 

It is important to note that the development is planned for 198 residential units with only one entrance through Wingerd Close, which is 230 meters from De Bron Road.

 

We recommend that residents study the documentation at the links below to be able to comment, object or make representations if they wish to do so. The closing date for objections, comments or representations is Monday 25 March 2024.
