Vredekloof Control Room: Re-locating

Most of you will remember that the premises that we are currently renting, was standing empty for more than 3 years. At that stage we managed to negotiate a reasonable rent, but with the escalation over the years and now this increase, we were forced to seek for another solution.

To find a suitable property in Vredekloof was not easy and we therefore count ourselves lucky to have found this one at the right time! We then immediately initiated the process and made arrangements for our telephone lines to be transferred and all else that is needed for the move. To found the right or suitable property was one thing, but to get the approval for the temporary departure was not that easy.

We unfortunately received two objections and our application had to be referred to the Sub-Council for a decision. This did not only cause a delay due to the recess and other things, but it also had a financial impact.

We were never sure if our application would have been approved, but luckily, we finally received the approval yesterday.

As everything was already planned in advance, we were in a position to get the ball rolling quite easily.

Everything now depends on the transfer of our telephone lines and the chances are good that we could be operating from the new premises by the end of today.

We obviously are trying to do this with the minimum “downtime” and we therefore ask you to bear with us. In case of an emergency and you cannot get hold of the Control Room, as a temporary arrangement, you can also try one of the following numbers:
